RAIN - Wardrobe for Gavinby *JocelynCD

(I was gonna post this tonight, but I'm going to be out for several hours. Figured I might just post it now. Because why not.)

I recently wrote a journal entry [link] about my trying to come up with more complex designs for the clothing of the main cast in Rain. So, I've been making character sheets that portray a variety of costumes for each character. Today, we're working with Gavin.

Even after deciding to work with the designs a bit more, I feel Gavin's simplistic look just suits him more. When it comes down to it, the real life person that inspired him is a t-shirt and jeans guy, so straying too far from that felt... wrong. So apart from the occasional button down (never closed except for less casual events) or maybe a sweatshirt, I figure he will be like clockwork, pretty much always wearing a t-shirt.

The versatility that can come from this though, is in giving him graphic tees. He's already been seen wearing the Mad GigaKaizer X shirt (which if you don't remember, is a fake giant robot anime he's a fan of). I decided to pimp one of my other works as well, giving him a shirt that portrays a symbol from Impure (something I plan to write in the future). The toaster on fire has a silly story behind it, but just take it as the image that it is. Also, black shirt. Yeah.

With the exception of the graphic tees, the only thing you really haven't seen him wear yet is the sweatshirt (which may be remedied in the near future). A few people suggested this look for him, and I must admit, at first, I wasn't feeling it. But now that actually see it on him, I like it. And I think it'll be suitable for the Winter months ahead.

Anyway, that's it for now, but by all means: ask questions, make suggestions, whatever. I'm always happy to hear. If all goes well, the next one of these will go up in a couple days (either Maria or Chanel, most likely). ^_^

I agree, the simplistic look does suit Gavin, although I do likes the graphic tees as well.
That does bring up a (really minor) question though; are there any memes/pop culture lines that would get slapped on a t-shirt in Rain-verse? ('All your lands are belong to us' or something like that)

have you heard of polyvore? it's a website that lets you browse different clothing items and create outfit sets. i find it really helpful for designing my own character's wardrobes.
