The first panel is actually one of my favorites in the whole comic posted so far. Gets me every time.

Other than that, not much else to say. We’re almost up to the climax of Chapter 1, so I hope everything is as exciting for you as it is for me. ^_^

O__O Hoe. Lee. CRAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPP!!! DX What the heck is Rain gonna do?! BTW, I actually that it's kinda brave of Rain to do this. Just one thing though; wouldn't just be easier for her to have a sex-change? Or are they ridiculously expensive and/or have an age limit? Just kinda curious about that. Keep up the good work! Is there a way to be notified when this is updated?!

It IS pretty ridiculously expensive. Plus, there's actually a required multiple step process that needs to be done before one is legally allowed to get a sex change (including, but not limited to, therapy, hormone treatment, and at least a year of presenting as the opposite sex). As for the age - and don't hold me to this - but I think it's required by law to be at least 18 before being able to begin said transition (I should probably confirm that part though).

Hence, this is pretty much Rain's only option for the time being. She is pretty brave to do this though; braver than she herself thinks.

Of course, even if you don't though, I update every Monday, Wednesday and Friday... usually right at midnight (Eastern Time Zone).

Oh and I don't see how it would be messed up for Gavin's old friend to be Rain. The fact is that people do change, and in Rain's case change sex.

Seeing as how Rain is based off me in a lot of ways, I agree with you. However, I have overheard people talk about that very subject and say things just like that. They might not intend to be offensive (although I find ignorance hurts more than direct attacks), but sometimes I think they say things like that because they don't really think anyone they know is like that.

In my experience, I've known a lot of people who've changed their tunes after I came out (or they just stopped being vocally oppressive about it at least).

I think it's mostly because people don't like such extreme change. And I have to admit if someone I knew said they wanted to change their sex I want probably have a bit if a hard time accepting it at first. If we know someone and they change like that we think that we really don't know them after all. Theirs also the fact that many people out there think it means their gay or perverts for wanting that.

From what I've seen of people it mostly that the don't understand what people in that situation feel like and they believe the stereotypes and things they hear, that might not all be true. For me thou I don't believe that there is just two sexes, because their are people that want to be the other sex, or want to act like the other sex without becoming that sex.I am not quite sure what makes up gender and sex and it might be something I go into because I am studying to become a psychologist right now.
