Not as planned… :(

It could be argued that this might have been better spread out over a couple pages. I admit, I was pretty constantly conflicted with the layout of this and the next few pages too. But Rain knew she didn’t have time to come up with an excuse and that she had to tell someone about herself sooner or later… and who wouldn’t think their old best friend would understand?

Er-hem… well, there’s nothing left to do now but wait for the hate mail to roll in. ^^;

I love the emotional climax on this page. And, I feel that the reactions, put side by side, make for a great comparison and allow the reader to see more into each character's personality and perspective. This was clearly a difficult moment for Rain, but she pulled it off well.
As for Gavin's reaction... while I will agree that it is not the most favorable reaction, it is the most natural for him. If I discovered my old friend with a significant life change, after years of no communication, you could bet I'd feel shocked (and a bit betrayed, as well). While it's a shame that Rain's gender identity has come between them, the fact is that it has, and frankly, I think it's better for Gavin to deal with it authentically (as he starts doing later on) than to simply ignore it. The ones who ignore the elephant in the room are the most likely to get trampled. This is a serious moment for both of them.

Reading all the comments up there, something tells me i shouldn't had done so.

Also, i wonder if Maria will still be attracted to Rain or not anymore since her (Rain's) personality and looks are girlish but... you know... ¬¬.
