I used my newly learned thumbnail trick for this page so as not to spoil Rain's costume from the thumbnail alone. Don't expect this to be the norm, but I might do it again in the future for other pages with "big twists" on them (although, I'm not sure if this even counts as a little twist, let alone a big one).

Anyway the chapter closes with the revelation of Rain’s costume (be honest, did you figure it out?). Rain's was the only costume with a few subtle (but present) clues leading up to it. Not to mention, there's a little "out of canon" clue if you've been watching me for at least a year, you'll realize this is the exact costume I wore for Halloween myself last year (and thus, I know for a fact a transgirl can pass just swimmingly in it). The chapter also closes with a brief, cryptic monologue from Maria. What could it all mean...? ^_^

Finally, this chapter ALSO closes with the most screen time Puddle has had in this comic so far. In fact, I may be mistaken, but I think this is actually the first time he's addressed by name in canon. I imagine some people who strictly read ONLY the pages and none of the artist comments or journals or supplementary material have probably been wondering for the past year whether or not that bunny that keeps showing up has a name or not.

Nnnnnope. Mentioned Puddle back in chapter 4. Rain states that she has to get home "in time to feed Puddle before he freaks out."

Nope. Wrong. Rain stated that she had to go home and 'feed Puddle', near the end of the last chapter.

Also... *squee* References to the real world! Wiiiiin. Also...cute costume! I feel so nervous saying that, but yes! It works so well for heeer!


:P Dangit. Audrey. Now I'm afraid of coming accross as 'over-compensating'. Bleh. Paranoia.

I love your little 2-pagers, they make for good chapter endings, though I'm still waiting for the day you do a splash page. Though that will be too much considering the way the comic is progressing, if you have a scene that you can pull of a splash page i will be excited to see.

Okay, back to the commentary. I'm glad you gave Rain a costume that was cute and still tasteful. Sure it should be fun (what girl costumes aren't fun), but not enough to be called Skanky. and in a way it is still like Kaminari with the simple idea that she is a black angel when most angels are seen to be holders of devine light. So in a way it reflects her perfectly. Really it was a fine choice, looks like puddles is slightly amazed by it as well. Such a pity for Maria who really wanted to get a wig, but than again, her hair color might work out better for this.

As it turns out, this is not the first time Puddle has been named in canon! Rain first mentioned his name on page 100.

Ach! You're right! Although Puddle himself wasn't technically on that page, so I guess it's possible for people to have completely misinterpreted or just not known what she was talking about... ^^;

Quite true! The "Puddle" Rain was referring to could have been Aunt Fara's (male...?) alter ego that comes out and rampages when Fara hasn't eaten for a while.

....That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. xD
