You all knew someone from the school would be there, but who really expected HIM?
Also, this page sort of addresses a bit of a pet peeve of mine; notably, in panels 2 and 3. Video games haven’t been a “boy’s only” hobby… um, ever. Yes, the average video game player is male, but not all of them. So, possibly because I AM a girl gamer, it rubs me the wrong way when guys act like it NEVER happens. Like, “Oh you’re a girl? You’d probably be bored by this then.” Believe it or not, I’ve even had people ask if I’d stop gaming when I transitioned! I guess, because girls don’t do that, so if I’m a girl, I have to stop. Sometimes, I just don’t know. -_-
And yeah, the Yuu Us. Comes out in a couple days, you know. It’s December in Rain continuity though, so it’s already been out for a month there. That said, if the original Yuu’s launch was any indication, I doubt Yuu Us’ really THIS so accessible three days before Christmas.
I like playing on my Nintendo ds lite. I have about 20 games. But it died on me this year! It's was going to turn 9 this year!. (I've had that thing since it came out and it really is 9 years old now.) I'm obsessed with Pokemon games though. Love love love them
Funny i mean we all knew that they would find someone that was from their school, but i don't think that i was expecting it to be him. And though their doesn't seem to be very many girls that like to play games i am quite sure that there are a lot more out there then everyone thinks, and they are probably really fun to be with too.
My cousin and I used to play SNES games (mainly Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and Super Mario Kart) together back when I was 6 and she was 10. She completely outclassed me then, and even now, while I can beat the game soundly, I have yet to manage Super Mario World with the kind of grace she displayed back then.
Aiken sort of reminds me of my brother, the typical chest-thumping manly man. Which means he's either chronically incapable of empathy or in denial of something and trying to cover it up with testosterone. With my brother, it's totally the former. I can't really
Well, at least Aiken doesn't maliciously batter his siblings...
Some of my fondest memories from when I was younger was an old neighbor of ours which I used to play videogames with. We even played with her father sometimes.
I wonder if she still remembers that or if my memory is just to good.
Uh, yeah I think that it was my saying you'd stop playing, I meant no offense it's just that it happened to a friend of mine, they turned into a different person after transitioning. It really made me kinda sad.
I'm sorry. I wasn't making a direct attack on you. If it makes you feel any better, you weren't the first person to ask and I sincerely doubt you'll be the last. At least you seem to have had some past experience to make you think that.
That said, I'm genuinely astounded that somebody would just throw away a hobby they enjoy over something like this. I guess, that's what happens when people take stupid stereotypes too seriously... -_-
Oh the Yuu Us xD I think it's annoying when people discount gamer girls, even a non-gamer girl will still have played some Crash Bandicoot or whatever in their childhood, so yeah... If people have legit asked you if you're going to quit gaming just because you'll be a girl... Urgh that is so frustratingly stereotypical! I swear I would've punched them or smt!

...I hope.
