SHANGRI-LA: CV - Equipment
Been a long time since I've talked Shangri-La with you folks.  But today, rather than telling you something about the game, I'm going to invite you to participate in a small but crucial part of the game-making experience.

You see, like any RPG, there are a variety of different weapons, armor, accessories and more that the party can equip.  Making these has already been taken care of, but describing them has not.  And many Shangri-La sessions lately consist of me staring at the inventory struggling to come up with something clever.  Guess what: it doesn't work like that.

With that in mind, I'd like to propose a little call for help.  To help

I’m wondering if it’s going to be a popular page…

Uh, about the second page, I have to be honest, that’s the first time I’ve ever drawn something like that. So, I was all like, “I guess I should… look up a reference.” So, I’m on DeviantArt, and I go a-searchin’. The really shocking thing, was how hard it was to FIND a reference. I kept finding fanart of a certain really fast super hero, and little animated shorts about anything, really. Considering how dirty this place has become over the years, I’m just surprised to not find what I was looking for more easily. I was uncomfortable looking for it anyway (I’m really not that kind of person), so I ended up just kind of drawing it. It’s far from perfect, but for not using a reference on something I’ve never drawn, I AM a little impressed with myself.

As for WHY this happened, well… it’s possible it wasn’t a fully thought out plan. Gavin was completely missing the point, and this was frustrating Kylie (yes, that is supposed to be ironic considering the exchange between Kylie and Rain in the last chapter). In the end, this was the best idea that came to mind. And, well, it worked but… uh, yeah, you all know how these things go.

Binding, plus loose-fitting sweatshirt. I can't guarantee that that would work so perfectly, but I'm also pretty bad with proportions.

But just out of curiosity, what do you mean "fanfic". It's not fanfiction; this is my story, so it would really just be "fiction".

Some of my friends seem to not know what a fanfic is either. They'll say "oh, Tony, so you're drawing a fan fiction comic" when its not even based on another series. I guess they just that since I'm a "fan" it must be fan fiction or something...it can get a little annoying.
