I know, I know. This page is decidedly lacking in Fara vs. Aiken. We’ll get to it. I promise.

And yep. Even Emily gets her own segment in this chapter. I both really like and dislike this week’s arc. I mean, Emily’s development here is more crucial than you’d probably think, and there was just a lot that needed to be said about her… and proper timing required it to be in this chapter. But at the same time, this little arc feels very disjointed from the rest of the chapter. So, I apologize for not coming up with a smoother way to fit this in.

Aw, now I feel bad for her... There are so few characters you let us actually hate...

Question for readers of Rain (because I don't know if we have a name yet):
A friend of mine started a book club and in the first meeting a trans woman came in late (she's in transition), and throughout the meeting made some really insightful points about the book, as well as joking during dinner that someone told her she'd "give other people The Gay". I jokingly replied that it's too late for me, I've already got it.
I really want to give her a hug and talk about stuff (the books she said she'd suggest for the group are mostly LGBT history and such, but we didn't pick that yet...) but I'm nervous about freaking her out, coming off as needy or clingy, plus I'm the youngest one in the group...
Any tips?

Awww. Poor Emily now I fell sorry for her and I can understand she got a lot of stress going on right now. But it really does explain a lot of things about her including why she wants so much attention and everything to be perfect. But it should prove to be an interesting arch before Fara rips Aiken to peaces.
